SUBJECT: Flood Insurance and Rebuilding after Sandy

WE ARE GETTING THINGS DONE.

In the past two years we have accomplished two major issues; Lowering our Zones and Designations by 80% in New York and New Jersey. and holding a National Rally to raise awareness to the Flood Issue, which TEMPORARILY has held back the exorbitant rise of flood insurance premiums, due to our action HR 3370 aka Grimm-Waters Bill/The Affordability Act. 

 

Make no mistake we have a long way to go to rebuild after Sandy AND to keep flood insurance affordable PERMANENTLY.

The only way to pass legislation to help our cause is to grow in numbers. There are 22,000 flood zone communities totaling 5.5 current flood policy holders. All the new flood maps have higher elevations which means there are countless millions who are being ADDED into the flood plain that don't even know it yet.

We need to reach out to everyone in a flood zone and gather them into one large group.
